Lisa Stretton, Allied ASID, Green AP
One of the most important aspects of design is proper space planning. As a mother of three sons, I am fully aware how spaces need to be functional, comfortable and aesthetically pleasing. I have a simple yet creative approach to design. I feel it is important to have the right combination of timeless neutral pieces along with splashes of color to make updating a room easy as styles change. I have a Professional Certification in Interior Design from Fairfield University and am an Allied Member of ASID. Prior to my career in design, I spent 15 years as a high school teacher. Those years taught me how to have patience and how to clearly present my ideas. I listen to my client's needs and incorporate their preferences into a design that works for them. In addition to my design training, I am an artist and owner of Lisa Stretton Art Design. As an artist, I like to incorporate light, color and motion in my original paintings to create an emotional feeling and connection to everyday life. Several of my pieces were chosen to be displayed in Art About Town in Westport this past year. Look out for more pieces that will be displayed locally in the near future.
